harsh opening : needs maturation?

Upon first spray, there is an intense synthetic lemon note that dominates the opening. This lemon aroma lingers for a while before fading somewhat. After wearing the fragrance for a month, the sharp lemon is less prominent but still quite noticeable. I've read that some fragrances from the Club De Nuit line require time for the notes to meld and develop into a more pleasing scent profile. I'm hopeful that with more time, the lemon will integrate better with the other notes to create a more balanced and enjoyable fragrance experience.
